The Process for Providers
Step 1: Apply
Service Providers apply to our directory thru our online system (Priority is given to clinicians who already have training serving survivors of CSE but many don't so YAMT is willing to offer ongoing training)
Step 2: Interview
An interview is scheduled with our mental health coordinator (to evaluate the clinician/community agency; understand their interests and what areas of focus that they specialize in within the therapeutic setting).
Step 3: Evaluate/Match Clinicians are listed on our website depending on their level of expertise and which tier they feel most comfortable working in.
Step 4: Agree Clinicians/Service Providers either agree to offer:
Pro bono slot(s) for a survivor for a full year of clinical services.
Take insurance.
Or reside in a underserved area and will be reimbursed by YAMT for offering (1) year of clinical services.
The Process for Survivors
Step 1: Online Questionnaire
- Survivors fill out a questionnaire online to request services.
Step 2: Screening Call
- A screening call is facilitated by a survivor mental health coordinator and clients explain what they are looking for in a wellness professional or community agency.
Step 3: Evaluate/Match Screening coordinator matches them with the best fit tier and providers in our database. Clients will be provided (3) options to match with.
Step 4: Connect
Survivors meet with the clinician they are matched with
Clients can be rematched in the event they don't connect with the provider
The Directory is Provided for FREE to all survivors.
Our Referral Process: Directory Tiers
This tier is primarily for direct service organizations/ clinicians who are extremely skilled at crisis management and can help a survivor get their basic needs met.
Survivors referred to this tier have newly exited the life, need support exiting the life and or who have recently relapsed.
This tier is for direct service organizations/ clinicians who collaborate with the survivor in gaining the resources in their community to maintain consistent stability.
Survivors referred to this tier have been out of the life for 6-12 months and are looking to continue working on resourcing, coping and day to day sustainability .
This tier is for direct service organizations/ clinicians who have worked with this community in a long-term capacity (more than a year) and are able to help survivors understand their lived experiences on a deeper level that goes beyond crisis management.
At this tier providers are helping leaders strengthen the skills + tools they have learned previously to maintain a sustainable present and future.
Survivors referred to this tier have been out of the life for a longer period of time and who need support moving from the stage of simply surviving to nurturing their past, present + future selves.
*We recognize that one size does not fit all and survivors + services providers can be in more than one tier simultaneously. This breakdown is utilized as a reference for how we make referrals
