"The 'Caring for Exploited Youth' training will provide an advanced and comprehensive curriculum on best practices for supporting youth that are commercially sexually exploited or those who are at risk.
Throughout the training, participants will practice defining and differentiating, exploring common dynamics and how those dynamics can impact or influence relationships. We will also discuss how the trauma of exploitation impacts behavior, health, help-seeking, general engagement, and healing of the youth who have been exploited. We'll also touch on helpful engagement frameworks and trauma informed care."

About the Presenter
Sable Horton has over 10 years experience training individuals, congregations, organizations, and businesses throughout various communities. She has worked with various non-profits in the areas of youth development, homelessness, domestic violence, workforce development, human trafficking, and mental health.
She is from the San Francisco Bay Area in California, is a 2020 recipient of the Bay Area Inspire Awards, the 2021 Modern Day Abolitionist of the Year Recipient, and was featured on a popular young adult magazine. Sable is the Founder and Executive Director of Shades of Beauty, a non-profit that empowers young girls and women to develop in the areas of love, identity, community, education, service, creativity, and leadership.
She is also the host of Shades of Beauty, a TV show airing on Roku, a youth, young adults, and women’s ministry leader at her local church, and a CSEC Training Specialist and Residential Counselor. Sable has a passion for helping to educate others so that we can all do life together in love and in community.
